Summer update

Well, I tried to upload a video but it wouldn't work.  I thought I would share the laughs with you, this is how Andy taught Arlo to wear his big boy underwear.  Well, actually Andy put them on like a hat and it was Arlo who thought it was funny to pull them down over his face and spin around giggling.  I am so glad that my son has his Papa's sense of humor.
We have been enjoying the hot summer here in PT, and have been working on filling our freezer with raspberries, blueberries and cherries.  It has been a very productive summer in the garden so far and we have more peas than we can keep up with.

Our chicks are growing into beautiful hens and now dwell in a large chicken run that our neighbor lovingly refers to as "the chicken concentration camp".  I have hung prayer flags and a mandala up to brighten the scene a bit and keep the girls happy.  I feel that I should clarify, these chickens are being raised for eggs, not for meat.  They do get to free range in our yard often but I have noticed a few hawks circling recently so have kept them in the run a little more often.  Arlo continues to love on them and kiss them when he can catch them, but they are big now and a little heavy for him to pick up alone.  He is very good at giving them water and food though.

Andy has been sailing Rowdy every friday in the local races and has been doing extremely well. Sailing has been good for his soul, and he comes home glowing and refreshed every friday night.  Last week was a gusy race and we have had to repair some minor damage to our sails but Andy was buzzing with excitement from the action.

That is all I have for now.
Tara
